Can We Help You Develop Youth Players Into People of Great Character?
Yes. We help High School Varsity Head Coaches and their staff implement our coaching systems which develop their players to be:
“Excellent goal-setting, communicative, self-directed, critical thinking, lifelong learners who thrive in competition and under pressure, who know how to work as individuals and / or with a team as a member or a leader while being fair and considering others.”
What Is The Starting Point?
The starting point for developing youth players into people of great character is firstly understanding their self-concept. Any person’s self-concept has three evenly divided parts. These three parts essentially determine
1. How You Think
2. What You Feel
3. Your Related Actions To #1 & 2
Can You Help Youth Players Have Success On The Volleyball Court And In Life?
Yes. At Volleyball1on1 we believe a primary goal and driver as a coach (parent and / or teacher) is to help develop self-confidence in youth players through the sport of volleyball. In our Volleyball1on1 Superior Coaching System ®, Whole Person Growth ® is a powerful foundational tool you will learn to help you shape your youth volleyball players into people of great character. Whole Person Growth ® can be utilized even with your students and children who are not volleyball players to help drive them toward success in life too.
If You Can Change Their Thinking, You Will Change Their Life
Before you can change any players skill on the court – passing, setting, hitting, serving – you must first change one aspect of a player off the court: their belief in themselves. A lack of self-confidence in youth players is far too common. This lack of confidence in themselves results in poor performances, which leads to a continued lack of confidence that produces even worse performances. A truly vicious cycle. One of our most important jobs as coaches is to change lack of self-confidence in players to confidence in themselves.
We help you as a coach harness Whole Person Growth ® with our proprietary 3 step process whereby you will learn how to successfully craft environments as a coach to help develop and shape your player’s self-concept positively, which will go onto match their enhanced self-image through recognizing excellence at the right times to help build their self-esteem resulting in a strong belief in themselves in all endeavors in life, not just playing volleyball.
The result of Whole Person Growth ® is that your players will develop confidence individually, which will then permeate onto the team as their behaviors and performances begin to match their self-ideal which we as coaches establish. The correct timing of the self-concept theory can result in players peaking at just the right time of season, all within the full direction of you as their coach.
