USA Volleyball (USAV) is a non-profit organization which serves as the national governing body of volleyball in the United States of America.

Seeing that Volleyball was invented in the United States, it is not luck that propels the US to world volleyball greatness. The US offers some of the worlds best volleyball infrastructure, with leagues and camps available for players from a very young age.
USA Volleyball puts together the delegation for international volleyball events for both men and women, and is named with involving and governing more than 40 regional volleyball districts in the country.
USA Volleyball tryouts for the national men’s and women’s teams that compete in the FIVB world league, an annual international volleyball tournament where the winning team can take home prizes upwards of ten million dollars. The men’s national team is ranked sixth in total medals won at the tournament, with a gold medal win in 2008.
USA Volleyball won the 2008 Olympic Gold medal in the men’s indoor and beach competition. The astounding women’s team of Misty May and Kerri Walsh have won Gold at the 2004 and 2008 Olympics for USA Volleyball, competing in the beach division.
Headquartered in Colorado Springs, Colorado and originally founded by the YMCA of the United States of America, this organization is responsible for selecting and supporting US national teams that compete in FIVB sanctioned international volleyball competitions such as the Olympic Summer Games. USA Volleyball is also charged with fostering the development of the sport of volleyball within the United States through involvement with its 40 Regional Volleyball Associations (RVAs).

![]() Male Volleyball Player / Coach – Eric Fonoimoana Eric is a 2000 Olympic gold medalist in Sydney, Australia, AVP MVP, AVP King of the Beach, while being a 2 time Manhattan Beach Open Champion. Eric has been a professional volleyball player for the past 18 years and a winner in the AVP tour 18 times. He was also the MVP at UC Santa Barbara, and over 18 year career he has reached the sports highest awards available. |
![]() Male Volleyball Player – Jeff Nygaard Jeff is a three time Olympian, indoor 1996, 2000 and beach 2004. In addition he is a two time NCAA Champion and two time NCAA MVP at UCLA. In 2003 he was the AVP MVP and awarded the Team of the Year. |
![]() Male Beach Volleyball Coach – Steve Anderson Steve is the Olympic gold and bronze medalist coach in 2000 and 1996 with the Australian women’s beach team. Coach of the FIVB co-team of the decade 1990-2000. In addition to playing in the AVP tour himself he has coached both indoor and outdoor volleyball for the past 20 years. |

He is also best known for leading UCLA to 4 consecutive NCAA finals as a starting setting of which they won 3 championships and and was named the MVP his senior year. |
![]() Male Indoor Volleyball Player – Mike Diehl Diehl was a NCAA Champion at UCLA, a 4 Man Bud Tour MVP and Kill Leader, he is a 15 Year European Indoor Pro, being a 3 time league MVP, along with being the league kill and ace leader. On top of this he has 15 years coaching and personal training experience. |
![]() Male Indoor Volleyball Coach – Gary Sato Gary was the assistant coach for the U.S. men’s 1988 Olympic gold medal and 1992 Olympic bronze medal teams. He is also a two time NCAA champion assistant coach at Pepperdine. Currently he is the USA boys under 18 head coach as well as the assistant coach preparing the 2012 Olympic men’s team. |

He is also a four time All-American and top five in blocks and kills on the AVP, he is also the 2003 AVP Rookie of the Year. Matt also brings 20 years of coaching experience and is the joint owner and director of THE MAC athletic club. |

In addition he is a ten year AVP veteran, which includes ranking in the top ten for blocks and kills on the AVP 2004-10. He is also representing the US for beach volleyball. |

![]() Female Volleyball Player – Logan Tom Logan is arguably the #1 indoor volleyball player in the world. She started playing for the USA nation team at the age of 16. She is the Co-Captain of the US National team and is a 4 year time all american player at Stanford with 1 NCAA title. Logan is going to compete on her 4th olympic games and led the 2008 Olympics in points. |
![]() Female Volleyball Player – Lauren Fendrick Lauren is a six year AVP and FIVB pro with two FIVB satellite event wins. Her beach career started in 2003 after being a four year starting outside hitter at UCLA. She earned Pac-10 All-Freshman team honors, three Academic All-American honors and honorable mention All-Pac-10. After college Lauren played pro indoors in Turkey and Puerto Rico. In 2006 she finished eighth in kills, 2007 tenth in blocks and 2009 knocked off the top seed at the Brooklyn Open. On the FIVB Lauren finished fourth in Phuket, Thailand and ninth in Klagenfurt after advancing from the qualifier for her highest Grand Slam finish. |
![]() Female Volleyball Player – Alicia Zamparelli Alicia Zamparelli is an eight plus year AVP pro and ten plus year volleyball coach. She first started as a basketball player that picked up volleyball and fell in love with it. Since then Alicia has represented the United States in FIVB tournaments and hosted camps at AVP events. |
