Hi, my name is Priscilla Lima. I’ve been playing volleyball since I was 15 years old.
In beach volleyball mental preparation is everything. When you are one of only two people and are defending an entire half of a volleyball court, you want to make sure that you and your partner know exactly what you are both responsible for on your half of the court.Details

Beach volleyball, your partner
For me, I think the number one thing is how do you side out together? When siding out you need to look at three things.
I generally play with taller players who often are not as good at passing so I really focus on my game to be a great setter to compensate for poor passing.
Hitting the D
During my career, particularly the last ten I became extremely proficient spiking the D set out the back row.
For me the first thing you want to consider is your approach and your starting point. Often I see players approaching from inside the court and straight down the line.

Well crafted volleyball passing form is fundamental. You want to be abe to control where the ball is going and also be able to effectively direct it to where it needs to be, and both of these abilities come only through the use of effective passing drills.
