Volleyball, Tips On Being a Good Team Mate

Hi, I’m David Fischer, 12 year AVP Pro, 12 year coach and today I am going to talk about being a good teammate as it relates to volleyball.

Being a good teammate is essential to being a successful volleyball player in both beach and indoor. In indoor there are 6 players on the court which means you and your team must be in harmony to succeed. Now with beach although there are only two players on the court often times it is more important to be diplomatic and a good teammate than indoor because there is a lot more changing of partners! Indoor you may stick with your team throughout high school, or college, where as with beach you may need to change team mates every month and in some cases even every week.

As a result, I have a few rules that have served me well over the years. Remember, you may be forced to play with the person you were fighting with the week before. I hope you enjoy them!
