Cross Training activities are important in keep up with your training and fitness. Surfing is great because it builds up your upper body, shoulder, and arm strength. If you live by the beach I highly recommend going to Costco and buying a soft long board for a hundred bucks. Since its soft it won’t leave you bruises and it’s easier to learn on. So the first thing I am going to teach you about surfing is when you paddle out keep your nose about 1-2 feet from the top. Once you get in good position to catch a wave pop up strong with your arms and put one foot forward and keep one foot on the tail and ride the wave as long as you can. Surfing is not only fun but great for cross training for volleyball! Surfs up!
