Today’s product we are reviewing is the Asics women’s lowcut volleyball spandex short. The low cut of the waist band is fundamentally for comfort. Classic shorts have a high waist band that generate extra pressure on the stomach and lower abdomen. By rolling down the waist band even more tension is made by the extra material gathered on a lower part of the body. All of this is solved with the low cut design.
Today’s item we’re reviewing is the Asics women’s lowcut volleyball spandex short. The low cut of the waist band is primarily for comfort. Classic shorts have a high waist band that produce extra strain on the stomach and lower abdomen. By rolling down the waist band even more strain is made because of the extra fabric gathered on a lower part of the body. All of this is solved with the low cut style.
More comfort is supplied with a gusset in the crotch for greater freedom of movement. Seams are flat stitched allowing the short to slide easier across the floor, plus to reduce chafing along the 2.5 inch inseam.
All this excellent stuff began in 1959 when chemists at DuPont laboratories invented spandex and combined the stretchy material with cotton, polyester and other fabrics that now make the players look like superheros as they jump, dive, slide and roll across the court.
The Asic’s shorts have a comfortable fit and are not too tight across the edges to lessen the short from riding up very far. They stay in place well so the players are not constantly having to readjust their outfit. All coaches can relate to this because the players need to be focused on the game, not how they’re looking as they play.
The wicking qualities ensure the players remain dry and as comfy as possible. Plus the surface doesn’t become slippery once a player makes a spectacular diving save from any persperation left behind.
The current styling of the Asics women’s low cut low cut short comes in a very large plethora of colors. Enough to combine and match to your school or club team’s colors. All round we give it a 4 out of 5 ranking as Asics is one of the top brands for women’s volleyball spandex as well as other apparel.
Our review was performed with the help of former US National team player Cassie Busse who played with the team for 3 years as well as playing professionally in the Puerto Rico super league. Collegiately with the Minnesota Golden Gophers she was named first team All-American and Big Ten player of the year producing her well earned national recognition.
