The 5th highest cause of death in the United States is Omega 3 deficiency. Omega 3 fatty acids come in many forms. ALA, EPA and DHA are the 3 most important to us. ALA is found in high quantity in plants. Animals eat the plants, and then internally convert it into EPA and DHA. Those are the two that we are most deficient in. ALA is an issue, but the real issue is EPA and DHA because the amount of ALA that we convert to EPA and DHA is very small.

    What about the younger player, girls in particular. I would like to find more info to pass on to our club players. Our girls ages range in age from 10 to 17. I would assume their needs are different than college level players.
